We have set up this website with basic navigation and clear discriptions and directions but we can understand that
you could have some other relevant questions regarding this website or need some extra explanation/informations.
Below are some of the FAQ's - if your question is not answered you can contact us and we will be happy to answer your question(s).
Keep in mind that we only respond to questions related to this website and that we will not answer on questions related to the selling/buying leads in the meat forum or questions related to our members in the company directories.

Q: Who is Meat-us.com?
A: Meat-us.com is a website created by a team of meat professionals working in the industry for more then 20 years now.
Missing the information about meat industry companies,lack of meat industry news and meat related information, like for instance meat safety in the internet on one single website made us decide to create one.
You can find websites related to the meatindustry but none like Meat-us.com where you have all information you need about the meat industry worldwide on one single website.
This avoids spending hours searching the internet checking loads of webpages, subscribing to them or even becoming a paying member of them and end up without the info what you were looking for and even worse not getting the important info you paid for.
Meat-us.com is truely and solely designed for companies who are active in all the aspects of the meat industry.
The website is monitored from the Netherlands.

Q: What is a "Subscription"?
A: A "Subscription" is where you enter you company in the Meat-us.com database, you then become a member of Meat-us.com after submitted info has been approved.
We ONLY accept members who are known to be active in the meat industry, if you subscribe to Meat-us.com whilst not being active in the meat industry we will disapprove your membership.

Q: How do I unsubcribe as a Member?
A: Member can not unsubscribe themselves, however if you would like to have your account deleted then please contact us using our webform.

Q: I try to submit my information, but it doesn't work?
A: First of all make sure that you did fill out all the fields with the (*) marking.
Then check if you did select your activity.
Make sure that you did select your business type, if you select producer OR coldstore you need to fill out the
plantnumbers (given by the authorities of your country).
If you are unable to press the "Submit" button, make sure you have ticked the "Terms of Use" box.
Make sure that you wrote the correct verification code into the box.
Be aware that the code is case sensitive.
For example when you see: DSrwpg as the code, you should write DSrwpg.

Q: Does Meat-us.com sell or otherwise expose my company details to 3rd parties?
A: No,absolutely not!
We guarantee that we do not sell and / or trade any company details whatsoever.
All the info / details submitted will only be used on Meat-us.com and never will be sold to any other companies.
No other then the members of Meat-us.com will see your company details and information.

Q: I did subscribe as a member, but didn't receive an e-mail from Meat-us.com?
A: Check your "Junk Mail" box or your "Spam Mail" box, maybe the message is in there.
Sometimes "Anti Spam" programs identify unkown senders e-mail as spam and direct them to the spam mail folder.
You can adjust your settings in your anti spam program, to accept incoming e-mails from Meat-us.com.
If you still can't find your welcome message- please contact us, and we will try to correct the problem for you.

Q: Why do you use verification codes and verifiaction e-mails?
A: We choose for this procedure because today webpages are hit by individuals who are only after messing up pages or worse trying to rob information by using so called "bots" or other programs to cause trouble.
To offer a higher degree of protection to subscribers of Meat-us.com, we want to manually verify the person who wants to join or use any service provided by Meat-us.com.

Q: The website is not well displayed on my computer, how come?
A: First of all make sure that you use an updated internet browser, for example: Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer 7 or higher or Opera.
Note that Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) is not supported in any way, Meat-us.com also recommends updating your browser to the latest version.
When the website still isn't displayed well on your computer, please notify us through: this webform.

Q: The Flashobjects don't run well on my computer, what can I do?
A: Maybe you need to update your Flashplayer, it's free.
Download the latest version and see if performance improves, otherwise it could be that your computer might be outdated and not fit to run flash animations.
You should also update your browser version to the latest version, this not only ensures better readability / accesability but also improves on security for your machine.

Q: I do find companies not related to the meat industry in the companies directory- why?
A: We always check all companies who submit to free / paid subscriptions, but we can not guarantee that the submitted information is always 100% correct.
We always try to verify all data sent by people who want to enlist, our staff always checks the data submitted.
Though we are dependant on the data sent by the user, there's always a slight possibility that the data might be incorrect.
However if you do spot a company NOT related to the meat trade industry in the company directory, we would like you to notify us by: this webform - we will check the company again and delete from our database if necessary.

Q: What is the "Meat trade forum" and how can I use this?
A: The Meat trade forum is the place where you can post your buying or selling leads.
This feature is accessible only to our members.
Page visitors who are not logged in or are not a member of Meat-us.com can see the offer, but not who posted that offer or acces their company details.

Q: I don't see "My account" anywhere on the page, how come?
A: "My account" will be active after you become a member of Meat-us.com and only when you are logged in, it appears in the menu on the left side of your screen.
A quick way to easily spot if you are logged in, is to check if the log-in box on the right hand side of the screen is displayed or not.
Also when logging in you are redirected to a welcome screen, before gaining any further access.
If you are logged in and still unable to find the "My account" button - please contact us using this webform.

Q: What is Free Newsletter / TradeAlert?
A: That is a service that everybody can subscribe to.
We will send periodically a newletter / tradealert to all of our subscribers.
It will contain updated meat industry news, info about newly added companies, and information about what has been asked for buying or what has been offered in the "meat trade forum" for selling.
Click on the "sign up" button and follow the easy steps to subscribe.
This feature is currently only accepting subscriptions and unsubscribing, the newsletters will be available at a later stadium.
Meat-us.com tries to complete this feature as soon as possible.

Q: I want to unsubscribe from the Newsletter / Trade alert.
A: Too bad that you don't want to use our free service anymore.
To Unsubscribe:
Simply click the "sign up" button in the Newsletter / Tradealert and when the page is displayed select the radio button "Unsubscribe" - enter your e-mail address and then "Submit".
Shortly after you will receive a verification e-mail asking you to verify if you really want to unsubscribe from our newsletter, just follow the instructions and you will be removed from our list.
If you have any trouble unsubscribing from our newsletter, please use our webform and a staff member will assist you as soon as possible.
Please try to provide as much information as possible.

Q: I would like to advertise on your website, is that possible?
A: Ofcourse!
Meat-us.com has a special advertisement program for companies that like to advertise.
Click our "Advertising" button on the right side of the screen and you will be directed to the page with all info regarding advertising on our website.

Q: I suspect fraudulent behaviour from one of the members!
A: Please notify us immediately!
Meat-us.com will investigate this matter and if necessary block the company or person from any further access to Meat-us.com.
Also we notify all of our members that this company cannot be trusted.
